Newbie here
Hi everyone, I 'm new to the board....kinda. I've been lurking here for a little bit and decided to jump right in. I had checked out the lap band boards over 18 months ago, but I had decided to give dieting one more try. Needless to say the dieting worked well but maintaining didn't go so well. So here I am. I am ready to start my journey toward a healthy life. I've been to the information meeting and today met with the nurse. Due to some previous problems with B12 deficiency and chronic Asthma/use of steroid medications, VSG seems like the best option for me. I'm anxious to learn more about the process I'm about to go through so if anyone has any advice or tips I'd greatly appreciate them. I'm going through this journey with my husband. He is seeing the nurse tomorrow. He is also planning on getting a VSG. Hoping to get to know some people here and make some new friends along our journey!
Im new as well, so welcome. I batteled the diet roller coaster for many years and even though I am only post op 3 months this is the longest I have been able to stay on track.
I refer to my sleeve as my Ace up my sleeve because even when I want to eat things I shouldnt the sleeve will not allow it! Its perfet for a person like me who has control issues. Its tought and still teaching me what I need to know to be succsessful for years to come!
Good luck,
Mario
