Any ideas to fix strawberry flavored protein?

On day two (of two weeks) of my pre-op diet.  I have to use my surgeon's brand of protein.  I purchased chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry.  I can tolerate and fix the chocolate and vanilla, but the strawberry is just nasty.

I have looked for recipes for strawberry protein shakes and haven't come up with much.

Any ideas, so I don't  have to throw this out?

Thanks.

I haven't done this myself but I have seen people post about using Crystal light lemonade with the strawberry flavored protein.

The only thing that would fix that for me is sugar free chocolate syrup. You can find those coffee flavorings in the grocery store or on-line. Hershey has one too. I cannot stand anything fake strawberry, so the only thing that could fix it for me would be chocolate.

Ditto! Sugar free chocolate syrup or pudding mix! Also, during pre-op (if its ok with your doc) you can always toss in half a banana, but this would be a no go for me once I was post op.

As already posted above, mix it in some Crystal Light lemonade.  Makes a world of difference.  I think I did one packet in 32 oz of CL.  That way it diluted the strawberry taste even more.  I actually kind of liked it that way.  Maybe you will too.

Hum, I wonder if sugar free Jello banana creme pudding mix would taste good with the strawberry protein. I need to try it.
I still haven't tried strawberry w/PB2. I bet it kinda tastes like a P, B, & J which sounds so yummy to me!!!

Crystal Light Lemonade or Kiwi Strawberry, fruit punch, any crystal light is delicious with strawberry protein powder. Also I have used Eco-drink I found at Sam's club. It is a multi-vitamin mix sweetened with steevia that I use instead of Crystal Light. Yummy!

Thank you all for the ideas. I will definately try them. I hate the idea of wasting that whole can.

Thanks.

You might hang on to it for down the road.  My pre-op diet was even more strict with carbs than post-op, but at this stage I love fruity protein powders mixed in to plain greek yogurt - yum!!  Watch the pudding mix during the pre-op stage, it has a surprising number of carbs.  (At that point I even quit my chewable vitamins and calcium to get my carb count down!)

SF strawberry torani syrup helps, I brought a tub of strawberry protein powder and found I had to add some of the syrup to it to drink it. I found one protein shake that I liked and pretty much stick to it now and stopped wasting money trying ones that I thought I would like. I know when I find that chocolate mint one I will be tempted to buy it, just hope I will like it. For now I just stick to my cookies and cream protein powder even though I remember before my surgery I would try my daughters bar in that flavor and hated it lol.
