I was sleeved on Monday, today I came home and haven't been taking too much protein or water

After how many days, will I be able to drink the 64 oz of water and the protein required?

Plus all the vitamins?

Thanks,

Celina

Drink your liquid drinks and count that as your water and protein. Try chewable vitamins and chewable calcium. Good luck and sip slowly.

It's different for everyone. Personally I wasn't able to get the 64 oz of water in until day 6 I think and the protein around day 8. Still working on vitamins, but that's more of a having to remember to take them all the time issue rather than ability.

At this stage of the game it's all about the liquids and making sure you stay hydrated.  :) Protein comes after (at least according to my doc)

I find Crystal Light much easier to handle than water.  And it counts as those much-needed liquids.

I'm almost 3 weeks out, and still can't get all 64 ounces most days.  I try, and keep water in from of me all the time, but in order to get it all in, I literally can do nothing else.  I returned to work on Monday, and it's even worse now.

It took me a few weeks to be able to get in all  my liquid. I still struggle with getting all my protein in. I didn't start my vitamins until right before my 2week post op check. I don't take that  many, 2 chewable multivitamins, calcium, biotin, B12 and Vit D.

It also took me weeks to be able to get in the required amounts. Make sure to measure and set and alarm, try 1 ounce every 15 mins you are awake..baby steps!

By three days post op I managed the protein between unjury chicken soup and the premier protein shakes. Water was close also but truly by day five to seven I was able to deal with both adequately. Just keep sipping. All day...
