Pre-Op Diet

It seems like the majority of people on here have to go on the pre-op diet.  Are there any of you that don't have to do it?  My doctor doesn't require it.

I did not have any kind of pre-op low carb or liquid diet but I was asked to lose 10% of my body weight before surgery.
