Any god I would worship wouldn't have allowed her to suffer like that.  God works in indifferent ways.

 

Aw, that is awful and adorable all at once!  When I'm ill, my dog seems to "know", and comes to snuggle me and he's very gentle with me.  My cats just step all over my guts and scream for food and a brushing!  Little beasts! :)
