You said you were having it redrawn today and they have the results already? TSH usually takes a day or 2 to run. Also, how could it be totally outrageous yestarday and totally normal today? Something is wrong somewhere. I am glad it wont hold up your surgery but do yourself a favor after your surgery, get to an endocrinologist especially since you have alot of thyroid disease in your family. 70% of the female population has hypothyroidism and most go undiagnosed. If you do have it and arent' treated, it will make losing weight that much harder. An endocrinolist will run the proper tests, more than a PCP or surgeon. Do yourself a favor and make the appointment ASAP - levels dont' fluctuate that fast

The first labs were drawn 2 weeks ago. The one yesterday was drawn and it only takes 3 hours for the results to come back. My Dr. will be keeping a close check on all my labs because of family and my own history. I am going to a Bariatric Center of Excellence so I feel pretty confident in my Dr. and staff. I will follow up with specialist if things go haywire again. I do have my own fears as most do about surgery. I am nervous and excited and a bundle of nerves. I guess because I have elected to have a life changing surgery and all my other surgeries were a must have. I was really upset about the first set of labs and I prayed hard and I do believe in the power of prayer. I am just thankful for the good labs to be within range for me to do something that I have contemplated doing for over 10 years. Can't believe it is almost here. Praying now that I get thru the pre-op diet..
