What physical symptom tells you when you're full or when to stop eating?? I'm almost 6 weeks out and still learning. :)

I feel pressure behind my sternum. If I don't listen to it or I have eaten too fast, I get a runny nose, sneezing, and/or hiccups.

Not supposed to eat till full.....that's how we got fat.....and that's how you stretch things out....

Eat fixed/measured amounts that is under your capacity.....

Agreed.... I would not recommend eating until you feel pressure... that's a sign you've gone too far, I think. I measure everything and just eat what I have. *Maybe* I could eat more, but I don't try. Sometimes a little while AFTER I'm done eating (10 minute) I might hiccup... and that's my cue that I shouldn't have tried to eat more anyway!

What Frisco said...

You should not be waiting for the symptoms of full to stop eating, by that time you have over ate.  I know I have over eaten if I start hiccuping or have a runny nose. At 6 weeks out try eating 2oz of lean protein maybe a bite or two of veggies depending on your plan and stop, repeat every 2-3 hours.  You shouldn't have much if any physical hunger pain at this point.

Well, sometimes I can get 1 ounce of meat/protein in, other times I can't. So measuring is moot at this point. This is the problem. And I only feel discomfort when eating, so it's really really hard to tell when to stop. That being said, I'm barely eating anything and only getting 2/3 of my protein in daily.

You might be trying to advance to fast for your new anatomy......

Try softer, wetter food......

First, my nose will get drippy, but when I hiccup, my son and hubby both yell "Cut her off"
