Constipation suggestions?

You may want to use Glycerine Suppositories or an Enema to clear the impaction you have now. Do not let this problem linger.

You can take a stool softener like Colace if this is a new issue for you.

I have had constipation issues pretty much since I had my bypass 7 years ago.

I use Miralax, Restoralax, Laxaday, or store brand it is Polyethylene glycol 3350 (PEG 3350). My GI docs recommendation is take two doses per day for one week to bring fluid back into the bowel and get you going again on a regular basis. After a week you will know if that is the right dose for you or if you need to cut back to one dose per day. This is not a stimulant laxative and it is safe to take every day for long periods of time. It may take several days for this medication to start working.

Hope this helps,
