Hemmroids

Four weeks post op tomorrow and I have been battling the roids for 2 weeks.  They are internal.  If the don't clear up I have to see a specialist next week.  The pain is worse than the surgery.

I'm 12 weeks out and I've developed them too (externally).  So much so that my FIT test (colon cancer test) came back positive for blood and now I have to have a colonoscopy.  Not looking forward to that.

Hope the specialist gives you some relief.

I had a terrible time with thrombosed hemmorhoids throughout my life.  Exacerbated by childbirth and the Atkins Diet way back when...LOL.  Epsom salt in a sitz bath will give you relief for now, there are also some prescription foams you may be able to use (ask your doctor).  The most important thing is trying to stay regular of course.  SO I take a capful of Miralax every other day and it works wonders to keep things moving (also keeps things soft...sorry TMI).  Try to stay ahead of the constipation!!  Good luck.  I feel your pain, it's miserable.  xoxo

I have foam, wipes, fiber gummies and stool softeners.  I'm hoping the new stuff (fiber gummies and softeners) help.

It seems lately the thing that helps the most is the baths.

Yes, the baths helped me tremendously, especially if I kept the water really hot.  Miralax really did wonders for my colon health though :)  I hope you feel better soon.  xoxo

I add about half a capful of Miralax to my protein shake in the morning, and take two fiber gummies daily.  Drinking plenty of fluids (I average 100 ounces per day) is crucial.  When I slack off, let the pain and bloody stools begin!

I've recently started taking a probiotic and it seems to help as well.  Hope you find something that works for you.
