I am over 10 years out and have not been able to tolerate protein drinks, alot of meats, but when it is hot out I would like something  close to ice cream.  Any suggestions if there are any substitutes for ice cream that taste good.   I see people say protein drin**** cream.  What protein drinks have you been able to tolerate!

You can make ice cream yourself by running a protein shake through an ice cream machine!  :)

As Gwen said just make your own.  I could not imagine going through the weight loss surgery journey without my daily fix of protein ice cream.  I use a machine that has its own refrigeration system, so I do not have to freeze an ice ring.

My protein ice cream is ready in about 20 minutes and I can make as many batches as I want.  Buy a machine that only makes a small amount at a time.  I always add my protein shake, sugar-free syrups, and sugar-free Cool Whip.  The sugar-free Cool Whip makes the ice cream very creamy.  An 8 ounce shake gives about 16 ounces of ice cream.

Mine is the Lello Jr 4070.  It is not available on Amazon today, but I see some on eBay.  This turned out to the ideal size for my protein shakes.

Ice cream is not your friend. Eating it will not get you to goal and it may make you puke.

Just mourn it and let it go.

She is still young post op.. She does not know about protein ice cream we can make and eat.

Btw: I add some salt to mine, plus I add unflavored gelatin - (disoveled completely in liquid). Really makes nice consistency... Plus gelatin is really good for our nails, hair and joins.

I add app 1tbs of gelatin for every 2-3  cups of "prepared" ice cream mixture..(I 'll have 2 cups of ice cream mix - and I make 1/2 -1 cup strong gelatin (disolve gelatin in water) mixture. Taste and adjust as needed..
