Air Fryer

Yes.  It does exactly what a fryer can do without oil and added calories.  Also, is bakes, roasts and grills while keeping moisture locked in.

I'm surprised Happy Teacher hasn't chimed in yet knowing her love for gadgets!  I would LOVE one but I don't have the space to store it.  My oven has the convection feature and I use that all the time since it speeds up cooking and helps brown things faster.

If I had room, I would totally buy one!!

I am totally in to "gadgets"!  I just bought an air fryer, but haven't used it yet, but will try it out this week.  But the thing is bigger than I expected...takes up a lot of room.

I have a "hot pot" that I use constantly...just the right size for cooking for one.

I have an Instant Pot that I use regularly.

I want to get an ice cream maker and a dehydrator.

I plan on having someone come in to put some shelves in my bottom cabinets to make storage easier.  One my countertop I have my coffeemaker, Instant Pot, Hot Pot and toaster oven with rotissiere.  They fit nicely and I have plenty of free space.  But the Air Fryer is huge...I have it on my breakfast counter now, but want to store it in my bottom cabinets.

I cleaned out a huge bottom kitchen cabinet so my pots, pans, bakeware, and gadgets would have a nicely organized place to live.  What is the difference between a Hot Pot and an Instant Pot?  What brand of air fryer did you get?

The Air Fryer is a Nuwave.

The hotpot (Cook's Essentials) is small...it has two features, Rice and Cook.  I use it for making single servings of chicken pieces, pork chops, etc.  I use my pressure cooker (Instant Pot) for larger pieces of meats, such as whole chickens, pot roast, etc.  Also use it for soups, stews, and making hard boiled eggs by the dozen.  I'm going to try making yogurt this week.

I have the GoWise Airfryer and I love it.  I got it on Amazon.  It really does cook crispy, and yes, it really is just a convection oven.  But because I don't have another convection oven, then it was a no brainer for me.  I got it for Christmas last year and used it a bunch.  I am a seasonal eater, so it's basically been pushed aside through the summer since I like to eat lighter foods now.  I'll pull it out again when the weather starts getting cooler.

I purchased a Faberware at $79.  It's wonderful.  I really enjoy a good crunch, and this provides it.   Perfect for hubby and I.  It's not just a gadget for us and have used it EVERY DAY since purchasing over a month ago.  And trust me, I understand the need for not getting an extra gadget (kinda like exercise equipment that becomes clothing racks). My son and wife were considering getting one and borrowed mine for a day . . . They promptly went out and purchased their own (a larger one).

Pros:  Quick cooking, limited heat in the kitchen, cleans up quickly.

Cons:  None except I wish I had purchased sooner.

I own a grill, a frying pan, and a roasting pan. The roasting pan gets used on holidays, and the frying pan when it rains.

I do not understand air frying.
