214.9 lbs Total Weight Loss

No movement on the scales this week. I have resolved myself that the WLS surgery honeymoon is officially over after hitting my 18 month post surgery date. I am 15 pounds below my surgeon’s original goal for me which I feel blessed and grateful for. I met with her the other day and she said something that finally clicked with me in that to lose any more weight now will take a good old fashioned combination of diet and exercise. I have been maintaining at roughly the same weight for about 4 months now and really want to be thinner. I guess the ultimate goal in my mind is still around 260 lbs and I feel that at 6’3" that would be a comfortable weight for me so I am thinking that I will officially go on my first “diet? after my vacation next week to see if I can actually drop 30 pounds. In my pre-weight loss life (and at 500+ pounds) thirty pounds took very little effort and maybe a month or so of a liquid diet or some crazy thing. Now, I know that I just need to eat properly and watch out for the snacks while increasing my exercise level to accomplish it. We’ll see how it goes as I guess two years of being in weight loss mode kind of takes it’s mental toll on one’s psychie. Don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t have changed a thing and am as happy as could be where I am now and the things I can do but I’m sure some of you know what I’m talking about. Well, anyway glad that I am remaining accountable and posting here on the forum.

Hope everyone has a great week!
Mike
