Consult for 2nd part of the DS

I just had my consult with Dr. Foote yesturday to have the 2nd part of the sleeve to the DS. We are setting up surgery for 4-6 weeks from now...super super happy  as i have been stuck at the 230lb mark for the past year.

I was successful in keeping off 70 lbs with the sleeve but know that I can do even better with the DS...hoping to lose another 50 or 60 pounds. He assured me that I should get down to the 140-150 lb mark... scared and axious all at the same time, as i have never been at that size as an adult.

My life is good...but hoping to be able to get up and move easier as I have a horrible lower back as I lose the extra weight that I carry with me.

Losing that much more weight should make a big difference with your back pain, and with your quality of life in general. Go for it!

GREAT for you!  I am in a similar situation.  I lost 100 or so with VSG keeping it off but no more.  I am not an exerciser.  Did developer GERD BIG TIME.  So I am going to finish my WLS with the DS.  I am self pay so it maybe next year when I have $$ and time off saved up.  Did Dr Foote discuss if it would me more or less complicated since you had VSG already done and  have lost weight and probably have a smaller liver now?  Did you insurance cover your OR.  My surgeon is in a new practice and they have not wet the price yet for DS revision.  I hope my metabolic problems will qualify me for some insurance coverage.  Keep me updates on you progress and recovery.  I am so happy for you!  Maja oms St Louis, MO
