Well I finally went and got checked out at the doctor and I have a chest infection and running a small grade fever. I had a half marathon race plan for today and it was recommended that I skip it. I thought very hard about it and I thought I have to try and I am glad to say i finish the race. I had to use the inhaler a few times and the end my cough was bad but I did it and I am glad I went

This is my schedule for the week if the body will allow it

Monday bike ride on trainer for 60 minutes

Tue 20 minutes of strength training and hour run

wed swim and ride 60 minutes

Thursday 45 easy run

Friday swim

Saturday 4 hour run

Saturday run will be for sure and the rest of the week will depend on the body

After meeting at school for the little one I can't go to the gym during work so I guess I'll throw something on the TV to get a sweat going today. I am feeling tons better after working out at least 5 days out of the 7 day week. So what's on tap this week???

Monday - home workout for the whole body (could be yoga or cardio)

Tuesday - Upper body strength training

Wednesday - Cardio

Thursday - Lower body strength training

Friday - back to the home workout for the whole body

Saturday/Sunday - nothing formal. Same old cleaning, washing, shopping, couponing

Wishing you all the best on the race. You will do it and just remember if you start to get tired don't start to lean stay straight this way you can get the air in that you need. one other advice you can take or leave. do a 15 minute run on friday if can. not fast just nice and easy

Thank you for the advice! I'm hoping that I'll be able to get a walk in today, I don't think I'll be able to run at any point. I did have physical therapy this morning.

It's going to be 20-30 degrees tomorrow. EEEEK. I feel so unprepared.

Just relax have some carbs tonight and get a good night sleep. If you have trained than you will do it. Get your stuff ready tonight that way you are not running around trying to get everything together and you will be more relax. I was at a race where the person was running around asking if we had a extra pair of running shoes because she forgot hers.

i have a 4 hour run tomorrow and it is going to be -10 Celsius. Not looking forward to that. Let me know how the race goes
