Support Groups in Toronto
I am pre-op and trying to make healthy changes prior to surgery but I am finding it a struggle to wrap my brain around the changes to come sometimes. Although I have a collection of friends that are supportive it can be isolating not having anyone to talk to that understands whats happening. Are there any support groups or people out there that would be available?

This was one of my best resources. Where in toronto are you? I know there is one on the west side that meets occasionally and I've heard there is one at toronto western but think you need to be a patient to go. I'm in the beaches, and had my surgery in Montreal so can't do the twh ones and west is too far to go for me. Bummer there doesn't seem to be anything east.

great! if we are a small group we could meet for a walk on the boardwalk (get our steps in)on a nice weather weekend. Let me know if you guys would be interested in that.

I'm in Cabbagetown area so not too far. Keep me posted as well! I attended the support at Toronto Western and found it to be very helpful so would be interested in more face to face meet ups if I can get away from my toddler for them!
