Post Op RNY 14 mos

OMG, why isn't it Friday already.....the longest week so far and we're only half way there. My Trucker is coming home tonight from a little guys canoeing/fishing getaway. Will be good to see him, and not have to cook all my own meals!!

Reluctantly went to the gym this morning, was so close to bailing. I hit over double my Step goal yesterday, so today I figure I should get a free pass! They were talking about onion rings on the radio this morning so guess what I want for lunch??? If I walk to get them does that make it okay??? I know they sound more appealing than they would actually taste, and I won't go for them because I'm cheap like that but mmmmm golden fried rings of goodness.

Anywhoooo, the eats today:

B1 - 1 Lindor Sea Salt Chocolate Ball (something to sustain me for the gym)

B2 - 2 eggs scrambled, onions/peppers, 28 gr tex mex cheddar (mixed it up last night, microwaved when I got here too work, turned out pretty good, 1 egg wasn't enough in the bowl, but 2 eggs is too many, will find a smaller container for next time)

S - banana cream greek yogurt

L - 4.5 oz turkey meatloaf with HP sauce

S - deli turkey & mustard

D - 4 oz grilled chicken with mixed greens (leftover from last night), with 2 tbsp. raspberry vinagrette

Totals - 820 calories, 101 protein, 27 carbs

Over 100 lbs lost! and 13 lbs below goal weight!

Chocolate balls for breakfast I might start working out haha

on day 3 of no carbs. Did well yesterday. Went to a new place for lunch. Wasn't sure what I was going to eat but ended up getting a scoop of tuna and egg on a plate. It was yummy.

Eats today are Greek yogurt and turkey pepperette for breakfast

lunch will be a married salad (part Caesar part Greek) with grilled chicken.

Dinner is steak with garden salad and asparagus.

Happy hump day!

The chocolate isn't a regular occurrence but I spent so much time trying to talk myself out of going to the gym I didn't have a chance to grab anything else. I just grabbed that sucker on my through the kitchen and out the door. BTW it was delicious.

Hi OrangeBlossom17,

It was really good. Very informative and I was reassured that I am on the right track. Feels good. The only thing is that my vitamin D is low and therefore affecting my calcium. I will have to get that under control before I see the surgeon. So, things will go along a little bit slower for me, but that's ok. I can wait some more! Thanks for asking...

Barb

Woke up with a sinus headache. My dog was pacing on the hardwood floors. I came close to murdering him as the clicking was driving me crazy! Took meds and forgave him now.

I need to set a menu for the week with DH. I plan breakfast and lunch and then often do not know what he will make for dinner. Today is an example. Since he offered to drive me to work I could not be too annoyed. So I only have 1/2 a menu. I know he is barbecuing so it will be a protein, some asparagus with a little salad if I have room

b greek yogurt, a couple of raspberries, granola

l steak, blue cheese, romaine with dressing

s yogurt, baby bel

d ?

so far cal 621 prot 70, carb 21 I will add dinner later

Good morning everyone,

I'm usually on my computer earlier, but it's been a busy day out front. I run a Purolator shipping/business service centre and I had more than 30 parcels delivered this morning. Good for business and for that, I'm thankful. Got some steps in.

I need to get back to better meal planning and shopping for both work and home. Since getting out of the hospital, I've been a bit scrambled and see where I need to get back to a variety. I stayed at work last night and didn't eat dinner until 8:30. I should have picked up a small chili from Wendy's, but also avoid eating out. I still have a lot to learn with this new tool of mine, but I'm moving in the right direction.

B - protein shake and black decaf.

L - 1/2 cup 1% cottage cheese

D - salmon burger, green beans and tzatziki (that I still haven't eaten)

S - Skyr and unsweetened applesauce

- I am still eating plain Skyr although their are flavours like vanilla available (higher sugar). I think I should stay on this (only 12 weeks out) and add either fresh or frozen berries or unsweetened applesauce. I appreciate your feedback on this one.

Enjoy your day. And yes Ginnny, it is only Wednesday - I hear ya! Planning a walk tonight as I will be home by 5:30 - yeah!

Eesh, I don't think I could do plain yogurt, I guess that's why you put the applesauce in. The vanilla skyr is my favorite and sometimes I still throw a few berries in there.

Chili from Wendy's is a great grab in a pinch!

I'm grumbling today about the rest of my week. Work till 5pm today so that's ok. Tomorrow work 1-8pm (miss ball practice), Friday 9-6pm (miss ball game), Saturday 10-4pm (miss my daughters soccer, son's ball practice and hockey game and both have soccer pics). Ughhhhh not fair!

I dropped my kids at school today and my daughter wouldn't let me go again. She did that on Monday too. Thought it was a fluke. She wanted me to pick her up (she's 4.5!) and hug her and wanted me to stay. Her ECE teacher whispered to me that she's been saying a lot lately that she misses me. I've been working more since I started this job in February and we've been so busy with my son's sports where she goes off and plays with her friends behind us at the diamond or arena. I had thought things were ok but she's been acting off. We figured it was her age. Made me heartbroken. I promised her we would go to the park while her brother had batting practice today and go swimming after dinner together. I'm so sad. I also signed her up for gymnastics so I can take her there and watch her. I'm hoping that helps her out of the funk.

Food today:

B: Premier Protein

S: peanuts

L: Chicken with salad (mostly just chicken, onion, cucumbers and cheese)

D: 1/2 hard taco, ground beef, cheese, salsa and hot sauce, onion

S: Syntrax protein powder (I find this doesn't mix well so I'm going to try just the powder)

Cals: 750, protein 87, carbs 22
