Hi Minnie!

Congrats on making it to day 7. :)

Everyone has a different result on Opti, and weight loss should really be seen as a bonus, not the goal. Remember, the goal of Opti is to shrink your liver and get into ketosis so surgery will be safe for you.

To answer your question though, I was on Opti for 2 weeks and lost 10 lbs (well I lost 15 but somehow regained 5 before the 2 weeks were up... Opti is a fickle time, and the scale can be weird; I didn't cheat once!!! try not to get hung up on it!).

Stay the course... surgery is around the corner. :)

Honestly don't be scared. If you are weaning yourself off things getting into ketosis won't be so bad. The key is sticking with it and not cheating. If you do you will likely go back to feeling like garbage for a few days when you try to get your body back into ketosis.

As what OAAT said, the weight loss is just a bonus. I lost 13lbs but there are people on here that have lost from 2lbs and up. Some of this weight is going to be fat but most of it through this phase is going to be fluids. Just stick exactly to the diet and know you are nearing the end.

I started Opti just after the Christmas holiday season, and went from eating cookies and chips and all things decadent to Opti and lost 23 Lbs in 3 weeks. I was thrilled, as it was totally unexpected.

I think my body was shocked though, lol. I know for a fact my brain was, and the first week was hard.

Everyone loses a different amount.

I lost 15 lbs on two weeks of Opti, but with the exception of the entire loaf of cheesey garlic bread I ate the night before, I went into it having followed a strict low carb, low calorie diet. I think if I hadn't I would have lost more.

It's hard, I won't sugar coat it. But for me, it was the worst of it - I knew if I could survive that the surgery and all of the changes that come with it would be manageable.

Remember that many of us come from the same place, with many of the same struggles. If we can do it, so can you!

Hello Minnie!

I am on day.. 11. The first few days were good but I did have 2 to 3 days were it was rough. I felt off, my head hurt and I was grumpy but... I feel great now. Even better then the first few days.

I cleaned out the kitchen. Asked family to hide their goodies, I eat my raw veggies with them as they eat dinner most of the time. It gets better. Many people told me this as well and it is true it does. Starting my last 7 days tomorrow.

We got this Lady!
