Can we have pepto bismul? I saw somewhere we can't have immodium.

I woke up with loose stools.....yay.

My surgeon has advised me to take immodium in the past.  Personally, I won't take it though, because I'm so inclined to have the other issue.

Hope you feel better,
Laura

My surgeon is ok with us taking immodium, just the liquid version. I would start with the smallest dose.

Pepto is on my list to avoid as it has salicylate-containing medications, like aspirin does.

I would go with the Immodium myself.  I used it right after surgery, in pill form and had no issues.  Love the taste of Pepto but it never did anything for me.
