In need of puree recipes
Not sure what your tastes are but ricotta bake from eggface is good. I bought a small Wendy's chili tonight, pureed it and had 1/4 cup with some shredded cheese and a tbsp of Greek yogurt to replace sour cream. It was really good. What about soups? Just run them through the blender. I'm pretty boring with food and tend to eat the same thing til its gone or the hubs trashes it. Hope a something here inspires you!
i was told if it is protein i can puree it up and eat it. One of my favs though is slow cooking ... put like 4 chix breasts in a crock pot and mix up 16 oz of light or ff sour cream, 1 can of FF cr. of chix soup and i packet of lipton onion soup. Put that over the chix and cook it on low for 6 to 8 hours or a bit higher for 4 - 6 hours. You can do this with frozen breasts also. Or take a a jar of salsa over chicken in the crockpot and cook it all day. I drained MOST of the liquid out at the end of the day then added like 1/2 cup sour cream (ff or lite) and like a 4 oz brick of neufatchel cheese or lower fat philly cheese..and warm that up for about 1/2 hour. that was awesome. Both good recipes that make your chix taste really good.
I'm intrigued about the puree egg, how was it cooked & did you have to add liquid to it. I'm still on my full liquid phase for a few more days. I have pretty much been making soups and pureeing the chunks down. I plan to do pretty much the same thing when I transition, I just won't make it as thin. I've made broccoli & cheese soup, curry butternut squash soup & split pea soup so far, all were pretty tasty. I went on food network and typed in low fat soups. By the time im on solid foods I'll probably would have tried 15 different recipes. Good Luck!!!
I just cooked for my family and pureed the part for me. You do need some liquid for dry meats but I didn't do anything special. I just ate what they did, well, no pasta, bread, etc. Just the meat and maybe a tiny bit of the cooked veggies but at that point, the meat filled me up with no room for much else.

Ricotta cheese, topped with spaghetti sauce and a little shredded parmesan (real cheese, not the powdered stuff). Just microwave until hot. Tastes like lasagna but no noodles.
A lot of people really like Wendy's chili, which you can puree. Or you could puree any chili, really.

I make a huge pot of Turkey Chili... I use 3 lbs of ground turkey, all kinds of beans, tomato puree and to make it a little thinner I add chicken broth and I spice it up with salt, pepper, garlic powder and whatever other spices I feel like having. I am passed the stage you are on and now add spinach & carrots to it. I wait until it cools, puree it and store it in PBA free Glad containers and freeze it! I leave one container out at a time and it last me at least 4 days!
