How far  in advance can protein drinks be made.  I am thinking I would like to have some made the night before for the next day.  Thank you for any help on this,

I've done this and I don't like the way they taste in the a.m. it may also be the protein I use as well, isopure.

Some protein powder containers tell you to drink it within 30 minutes (I don't know why), but I know that some people make them ahead of time and let them sit to let the foam go down if they use a blender.  The only time I mixed up one and then let it sit in the refrigerator for about 4 hours, it had thickened and the taste was different (and not in a good way).  I don't think it affects the protein in any way, but I don't know that for sure..

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.

You can mix them up as far in advance as you like.  It does not affect the protein.  Think about milk - a gallon of milk can sit in the fridge for a week and the protein doesn't go away, right?

However, it might affect the texture or taste of the drink.  If you don't mind that, you can make them up the night before if you like.

Thank you all for your responses.  I have been using the Nectar I have liked the 2 I have used so far.  But I find them better cold.  So I put a pitcher of water in the fridge so It will be cold when I make them.  Right now i am using all the samples I bought.  Its been intresting.

I mix mine with cold water (from a Brita pitcher in the fridge) and crushed ice.  I do let them sit for a while for the foam to go down.

I find that the protein settles to the bottom in a half hour or so. Doesn't affect the nutrition, but the top ends up like chocolate milk and the bottom is gooey yuck. Just stir it a bit and it'll be fine.
