Major NSV!

I got accepted to study Chinese at the best university for language study in China!

I have lived in central China for the past 4 years.  The place I live isn't really that great, but I have been comfortable here.  I have friends and a decent job.  I haven't really grown or expanded as a person (though my waistline more than made up for it!)  I think I was scared to go somewhere new because I would automatically be "that fat foreigner".  This year I have started to get over that.  I did a teacher training program through Cambridge University in the winter and now I'm continuing my Chinese education.

I feel like losing this weight has caused me to become "unstuck".  I'm not afraid to try new things because I'm not afraid of how people will judge my appearance.  I didn't even realize I had that issue til after I started losing weight.  I feel amazing!  I didn't fully realize how much I was holding back before

Beijing here I come!.

Thanks!  I thought there was no way I'd get into this school, but I did!  Now on to scholarship applications!  I will definitely everyone posted.  I'm a bit camera shy, but I can show pictures of China.  Thanks again!

 thanks!  I'm pretty excited.  The scholarship applications have me a bit freaked out, but it will work out!  I've done harder things before.  I will do this too!
