Thomas'® 100% Whole Wheat

I am 18 months out and have introduced bread to my diet for the first time this week. These seem REALLY reasonable to me based on their stats. I have been eating the with melted cheese on top.

Ingredients:

WHOLE WHEAT FLOUR , WATER, SUGAR, WHEAT GLUTEN, FLAKED WHEAT, CELLULOSE FIBER, CORNMEAL, YEAST, WHEAT BRAN,SALT, PRESERVATIVES (CALCIUM PROPIONATE, SORBIC ACID), MONOGLYCERIDES, GUAR GUM, SODIUM STEAROYL LACTYLATE,DATEM, SOYBEAN OIL, SOY FLOUR*. *TRIVIAL AMOUNT OF SOY FLOUR.

 That would be high in carbs for me.  I still eat like a diabetic and it is a lot for one item.

19 net grams of carbs is a lot? 

I most likely would only eat half of one with some protein on top but to me that seems reasonable. But then again I've never been diabetic.

I eat them, toasted as a side to my salad. Or when I really get the craving, with light cream cheese (very lightly applied) and lox piled high.
