Popcorn anyone?
I was just hoping to get a little input from all of the veterans out there. I was wondering if and when you were able to eat popcorn? I know it is not the best snack choice because of its lack of protein but I get more than enough protein in during the day.
One of my families Christmas traditions is to go to the movies on Christmas Day. This year I am unable to see my family (thank you medical bills) but really want to still go to the movies. I do not want to go all out on the popcorn but would love a handful (without the butter and salt) while I am watching my movie.
Anyone enjoyed popcorn post-op?

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
I do eat movie popcorn, although I rarely go to the movies. I also eat it with butter and salt. The butter stuff is high in fat though. I eat popcorn at home, also, but that's a bit healthier.

4-5 months out. Movie popcorn (sans butter & salt) is ok. What I really love is homemade microwave popcorn. 1/4 c. kernals & 2 teaspoon EVOO (Extra Virgin Olive Oil). Put in a lunch sack, fold the top 3 times and nuke for 2 minutes. I use a little spray butter & seasoned salt. Yum-O! I'm about ready to put a bag in my purse the next time we go to the show. Now to pick between Django Unchained & Les Miserables....choices, choices.
