Muscle weighs more than fat
No it doesn't.....a pound is a pound is a pound weight wise. A person with more fat (takes up more space) will look bigger than a person with more muscle (which is denser in size but not weight) the person looks smaller and healthier.
That's all.....I keep seeing people say this and it's not true.

I do seem to weigh more and wear a larger size than a lot of people on here say they do ... I am freakishly tall (6ft) and wear a size 12 jean but I am a normal size frame with very little excess skin and fat. I have ALWAYS worked out so I think I am dense - bones and muscle ... (not brain as some may say ) I could not squish myself into anything smaller because I have little to no squish!!!!
I frequently see people who are 6-9 inches shorter than me say they weigh the same and wear like 3 sizes smaller ... I can't get my head around it to be honest - but I know I'll NEVER be in single digits~

Well you are significantly taller then I am. Want to share about 5" of your height lol. Clothes sizes seem to vary so much not only by manufacturer but by body shape. I'm petite boned and short refer to my question above haha.
I've seen pictures of you. You may wear a size 12 but you look like you wear about a size 8.

I don't get it either.
When I hear some of these stats I just can't relate (given the height and weight figures). I'm happy for them, but after my first surgery, I only got down to a lowest size of 12, while others were at a size 4, 6 or eight. The twelve was fine, I just don't get the difference.
I don't want to be too small (not implying that a 4, 6 or eight is too small for anybody else). My goal is to be healthy. I am desperate to be healthier.
I'm happy to be scheduled and awaiting a new opportunity.

Muscle has a higher specific gravity than fat which means that given the same volume of muscle and of fat, the muscle weighs more than the fat. The density of mammalian muscle is approximately 1.06 grams per milliliter. The density of fat is approximately .9 grams per milliliter. Therefore given equal volumes, the muscle is 17% heaver than the fat. Using a meaningful comparison of equal volumes, muscle does in fact weigh more than fat.
