Exercise machines

I wouldn't go for cheap...you won't have a nice smooth glide IMO, you get what you what you pay for.  

One more reason I love the elliptical is because I listen to my iPod BUT I can close my eyes and just focus on my music and the time seems to go faster 

I had both-sold the elliptical and kept the treadmill.  I'm a runner and prefer the treadmill if I cant get outside to run....did not like the elliptical after a year....really hard on the knees.

I actually have the elliptical, a treadmill, and a treadclimber. Out of all of them I love the treadclimber, which works like an elliptical and treadmill in one machine. However I do love my elliptical as well. The elliptical is a very low impact as it works so smoothly. I would do as the other poster suggested and make sure you try them before you buy them!
