Pre -op appointmetn before surgery!!

I got tomorrow for a pre-op appointment before my surgery that is scheduled for march 27. This appointment will take several hours. I know I will be seeing my surgeon and doing a group session. I also think i will be consulting with me anesthesiologist. What were y'all's pre -op appointments consist of?

For my pre op appt i had to pre register at the hospital and pay my co pays for the testing... then i had a chest x-ray and 8 very large tubes of blood taken....a pulmonary function test....ekg...pre op nutrition class... and then i met with the surgeon to go over everything and confirm procedures and what not...its not as bad as i thought it was going to be.  Good luck on your surgery and see you on the losers bench! -Bri-

I got tomorrow to mine too. They said 3.5 hrs group session, one final appt with the Dr off to pay for the surgery in billing and after that go to scheduling to finalize the date.

So excited....we do blood work I believe at our meeting at the hospital with the anesthesia team.

No LOL I looked too because I thought you might be with my surgeon. I am with John Bruce at the Bariatric Center of NC in Cary.

Mine consisted of registration, co-pay, health history with nurse, vitals and weight, meeting with anesthesiology and lab work.

It took about 2 - 2 1/2 hours

I had my pre op today! Took about 1.5 hours, met with the anesthesiologist, nurse for instructions, gave blood and a urine sample too. I still have one more appt on Saturday to do another blood test to make sure I'm not pregnant, but thats it!! Monday the 11th is the day!!!
