This just got real

I got a call from my doctor's office this morning.  My insurance has approved the surgery!  I don't expect most people to understand what that means to me.  As supportive as my loved ones are, they have not suffered the trials of an obese person.  But folks here seem to get that.

I am relieved, excited, and hopeful!  My surgery date of May 13 will be here in no time.

Oh boy do we get it, everyone here on OH "gets it" !!! Congrats on your approval!  Come here often and read to your heart's content (if you have not already) and you will be super prepared for surgery. Happy to answer any questions you have if I can.  I am 5.5 months post op RNY and its the best decision I ever made.

Congrats!!!  So very happy for you!  I'm scheduled for May 6th!  I was actually in a staffing with co-workers when I got the call.  My co-workers shed tears of joy right along with me!  I understand your excitement!
