1.5 weeks out and stalled already? Ack!
I had my bypass 1.5 wees ago. They did not weigh me day of surgery but went by last pre-op visit. From my calculation I lost 8 lbs Wed-Monday- Saw doc last Monday. Then lost 2 more pounds, now the last 3 days nothing and even gained a little. I know they say you plateau, but I thought that was 3 weeks out not 1 week.Seeing Doc again tomorrow and am worried I am going i the wrong direction. I feel so good I don't even feel like I had surgery. It's not hard to eat at all unless I eat too fast.

You are in this for the long haul. You need to focus on following your plan. If you do that, you will lose the weight. You do not want to challenge your new pouch. The severed nerves have not yet healed, so you won't feel full for a while. That is why you have guidelines for how much to eat at a time. It's great that you are feeling so well. Step away from the scale and focus on following your plan. It will happen:). Best of luck to you--patience...
Thank You!

LOL, you aren't stalled. Give your body a break! You just had MAJOR SURGERY and your guts were re-routed. You aren't going to lose every day -- not even every week. Your body takes time to adjust and heal as you go.
Also, you most people gain after surgery due to water retention. The fact that you've lost afterwards puts you ahead of the game. Don't worry my friend!! You are doing wonderfully!

I echo what K.White said. 3 days without losing isn't a stall. I will also add one bit of advice. If weighing yourself daily is going to cause you this much distress when things fluctuate, then I would stay off the scale. I personally did not weigh myself outside of the doctors office for the first 6 weeks. I just relied on how my clothes fit and other things to know I was losing. Don't let the scale run your life so that every time you go a day without losing you get frustrated and think something is wrong.
Good luck to you!
Thank You!

I only lose one week a month. That week I lose 7 or so lbs in about 10 days. That is not a stall even then it is just stair step loss. I go up as much as 5 lbs on any given day when I'm not in the losing week. Just know this is normal. This month I may be stalled...it has been 3 weeks and no loss and my normal loss week has passed. That's ok, I just follow my eating guidelines.
