I'm so glad you're ok enough to be writing this! Thank you for the reminder -- we all need to be hit on the head with a 2x4 every now and then to see the possible ramifications of getting off track even with the seemingly minor things.

Thank you for being brave and posting this.

You said something that struck me as simple but very profound. "I had to face the facts that I may be at a normal weight yet am FAR from healthy."  So many people, in particularily the "naturally thin" need to wake up to the fact that although they are thin, their diets may be crap, they may be unhealthy, and they may be out of shape.

Also, I did not believe it at the time but I have subsequently learned that morbidly obese people are often malnourished as well.

 

AS WLS patients, we have to be even MORE VIGULENT about our diets in the sense we are working with a small amount of pouch space. Every bit of it must now count towards our vitamins, fiber, minerals, and protein.

RNY Surgery: 12/31/2013; 

Current weight (2/27/2015) 139lbs, ~14% body fat

Three pounds below Goal!!! Yay !
