I have plateaued already. Is this possible? I am 7 weeks out and have lost 33 lbs. but I feel depressed because I haven't lost anything in over a week. Needing some advice/encouragement. Thanks!

Very very common to stall throughout the weight loss process.  Stay on plan and the weight will come off.  I know in my own personal experience I lost very little from 6 wks to 10 wks.  Was it very frustrating?  HELL YES!  Did the stall break and I continued to lose weight?  HELL YES!  This is a marathon not sprint.  Just keep running!

Thank you! I am discouraged but will forge through!

Hi there!  I had stalls along the way - sometime a week or two sometimes a month.  But then I would follow plan and get on the scale one morning to find it had dropped three pounds.  Keep doing what your doing and your body will work its magic.  In the beginning I thought I would be one of those people who RNY didn't work for but here I am 40 weeks later and down almost 95lbs.  Trust me - you will get there if you follow your plan.  I am living proof.

Stalls are normal, but if you are worried, you can always post a few sample menus of what you eat. The vets are OH are very helpful in pointing out areas you can improve in. The closer you get to goal, the more diligent you need to be.

I have had the same thing happen. Try not to get discouraged and like the other said just keep sticking to the plan. I am terrified that I am going to fail just as I failed to lose weight and keep it off before. Stay the course, stick to your diet. I think our bodies freak out some because we are losing so much. I also found that stressing and constantly staring at the scale (as if using a Jedi mind trick to get it to move) would do me no good but make me worry and cause stress which makes your body produce cortisol. You are doing fabulous. Think of it this way, you are losing almost 5 lbs a week. Do you know how awesome that is?! Be excited! You got this.
