Good morning!! Not feeling great today. I had ribeye steak last night and could only take about 3 little bites before my pouch strongly objected. It's my all time favorite steak, in fact it was my last meal before surgery. I'm thinking it's the high fat content? I seem to be sensitive to fatty meat and cheese. So bummed. I may try filet mignon next time instead.

QOTD - I love going to concerts but prefer them at small mellow venues these days. I recently saw Jackson Browne and Chicago at a great local amphitheater. I'm not a fan of festivals - too overwhelming, my anxiety would be through the roof.

50 pound lost as of today!!!!!

10+weeks since surgery

b-coffee w/heavy cream, SF hazelnut syrup

rest of menu is up in the air, pouch is not happy still....

v/l - doing the best ican

e - BF walked the pups alone this morning, I may take them out later.

Off to So-Cal early tomorrow for the Super bowl - GO PATRIOTS!!!!

I would be sad about reacting badly to meat and cheese too. Pre surgery I ate a lot of ground beef because it's so cheap and versatile but since surgery the thoroughness of my chewing has revealed how much of it isn't meat and it's lost a lot of it's appeal. Although I can't afford to eat steak and ribs every day I have found that fattier meats have helped to normalize my bathroom situation a little. Hope you have better luck with the filet.

I've had a hard time with ground beef and turkey also. You're right the chewing, it  totally changed it and made it unappealing. I am sad about the fatty meat. I made pork belly recently and I had the same reaction as the ribeye. I don't have a problem with all fats, eggs are fine made even made butter and cheese, I tolerate nuts well and I use heavy cream in my coffee.  Leaner meat, low fat sausage, low fat cheese and sashimi don't seem to bother me at all. In general I am tolerating dense protein better than I used to. I've heard about the fat helping in the bathroom as well. Maybe my tastes and pouch will tolerate them better down the road.
