Morning guys!

It's been awhile since I posted on the menu thread...life has gotten so busy lately and I both love it and hate it because it feels like I barely have time to breathe....but it keeps me busy so I'm not stuck feeling like I don't have anything to do which I think is worse...I hope that makes sense

It's raining here today, and the temperature is blessedly cool...it's gotten up into the 90s already this year and it's not even summer yet, ick!

Yesterday we had my son's kindergarten transition meeting - he's going to be moving from the AU program to mainstream kindergarten with an IEP in place, this is SO huge and I'm so proud of how well he's doing. We celebrated with hanging out at the tumble-gym with two of his friends until we had to go to the ER because there was an unfortunate collision with the trampoline bars after the kids had pulled some of the protective padding away. It was a small but deep laceration but we thankfully avoided stitches. They did have to use some surgical glue and that alone required 4 people holding him down so the doctor could work. I'm just very relieved that it wasn't worse and I think mommy required just as many hugs and snuggles afterwards as he did.

QOTD: I've been watching Travelers lately, and I need to watch Sens8, and last night we went to see GotG2 and there were a few previews for upcoming marvel shows and now I need to catch up on those as well...I'm good on TV for awhile and there are several movies coming out that I want to see....Wonder Woman looks good, and I love that it's a period piece!

Menu:

Breakfast: Protein Shake w/greek yogurt thrown in for extra protein, coffee w/ff creamer

Snack: Cheese

L: TBD

Snack: PB & Apple Slices

D: Steak, tbd veggie

Have a great day guys!

Good morning weekend menu peeps. Lily and I have already been on our 5k walk today. Our rain in Illinois is finally gone and the sun is out again today. Hooray! I don'****ch much TV so I'm little help there. I don't sit still that long usually. The only show I will sit and watch is The Voice. Plans today include getting the camper picked up from our last trip and doingredients some food preparation for the spaghetti dinner our church is having tomorrow at lunch time. Hoping we have some people from the community come out as we really need the revenue. Post op 4 years 8.25 months and weight at 117.4 today. No extra bites yesterday so good there--even though the urge was strong. Here's food for maintenance today B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 31/2 oz deli turkey and cheese 1/2 c roasted asparagus D 31/2 oz cheese and bacon burger 1/2 c roasted asparagus S P3 Pak. Have a great day everyone and make some smart choices that move you one step closer to your goals!

Good morning weekenders! It's overcast and cold now with high winds to come this afternoon. I'm just so glad to have my weekends back that I don't even care. Today we are taking the dogs to the park, going to place our bets for the Derby, then home to make a southern BBQ feast and to watch the pre show and race! I love to cook and can't believe how differently I view food now. I could care less about anything but meat right now (even though I dream about food all the time) but enjoy making all the carby side dishes for my for BF and DS. Today it will be pulled pork (short ribs were the plan, but they are so freakin' expensive!) coleslaw, baked beans, corn on the cob, corn bread, smashed potatoes. I will just be having the pork with my SF BBQ sauce and maybe a bite of coleslaw. Leftovers means I don't have to cook for a while and everyone is happy!

QOTD - I am stuck in a rut of watching food network and sitcom reruns like Seinfeld, Frasier, Big Bang and King of Queens. I like the network shows Shades of Blue and Blacklist.

5+ months out

b-coffee w/heavy cream and splenda + SB grande dark roast w/heavy cream and splenda

b2-chicken enchilada innards w/hot sauce

l/d pulled pork w/bite of coleslaw

v/l on track

e-2 miles at the park with the pups

Have a great Derby day all!!

Rio Bravo is a classic. You culd go with The Searchers or Hombre. The Unforgiven is more recent and gritty, but is the best western ever made. Silverado is great fun.
