Hi Menu Crew! How is everyone? I am great! Busy day ahead for me at work, I have a crazy deadline that I stayed up late to work on last night as its due Wednesday but the document will probably go through a million edits before its ready for tomorrow.

Accountability: 100% on plan!!

QOTD: When you clean your house/apartment/condo do you clean all at once and just take a day and do it all or do you break it up to be more manageable, such as dust & vacuum one day, tidy & de-clutter another day? Its rare but once or twice a year I will take a day and do the whole house at once. But generally its a little bit here and a little bit there. I have to sweep daily due to dog hair but leave major cleaning to piece out.

3.9 years post op RNY - maintenance food - this is what I have planned and inputted into MFP

L: tuna/peppers/balsamic

TOTALS: 1071 calories, 132 protein, 36 carbs

Good morning!

QOTD: I have someone come and clean my house. It's my favorite money to spend every week. She comes on Wednesdays and does all the hard jobs for us. So, therefore anything else that needs to get done happens a little at a time over the week. Dishes, laundry, the occasional sweeping, taking out the trash, cleaning the cat box, changing the sheets, etc. My girls have a chore list on the fridge they are required to complete before they can have fun, and that helps too.

Accountability: My calories ended up really low as I was approaching the end of the day, due to it being a "little sleeve day". So, I had some Halotop before bed. Weight is stable from yesterday.

7 months post-op\Maintenance\138.7lbs

M1: Premier Protein w/ Coffee, Miralax, and HC

M2: Fage Total, SF Pudding Mix, Blueberries and Sunflower Seeds

M3: Chicken Breast and Avocado

M4: Fish Tacos (minus any shell/chips)

E: Didn't meet with my trainer yesterday, as he was sick. I will meet with him tomorrow. I don't think I'll get much in today again because of it still being so busy at work.

Morning!

hoping to head in to work early today. Nothing crazy, just planning to take tomorrow off, so I don't want to be flustered on Thursday.

qotd: I have good intentions of doing a little bit each day, but we often need to take a 1/2 day on the weekend to catch up. This weekend we got things ready to hire a cleaning service, but then I did our budget and got gun shy. But Im already thinking of going back to plan A. Us doing less housework.

accountability: on point!

menu:

B: coffee and premier

L: leftover hamburger, with guacamole.

s: yogurt and bran buds

D: tbd on schedules, might take in hubbies early softball game. So might just have some tuna or something quick.

have a good one!

21-year diabetic here. I always see an increase in BS from resistance training. Cardio is the opposite.

Exercise prompts us to release stored Glycogen in the muscles and liver. With cardio, we burn through it fast, but with resistance training, it's a "slower burn". I normally see a spike and then a nice slow drop after resistance training. Now that I'm not on meds my spike is normally 140 or so, back in the day it was often times very high! With cardio, while on meds, I would drop like a rock and sometimes had to consume more calories than I burned. I don't have that issue off meds (for now).

Happy Tuesday! Yesterday was our last school to open, and it was a really successful first day! Last year the school environment was tense and violent, but yesterday was lovely. Hoping it continues for them today :)

I woke up with a nasty case of pink-eye! Yuck! So I am off to work for a quick meeting can't miss (two hours away, booo!) I, and hope to get a doctor's appointment on my way home (only an hour out of my way, another boo!). Since I am pretty sure I will be on the road all day and away from a fridge or microwave I just threw some cheese whisps, pork rinds, and a balanced break in my bag and I am out the door. Hoping I don't need meds for it--this is an annoying set back for the 2nd week of school!

QOTD: My best friend is a total mess and I watch her let her house get SUPER messy then she doesn't know where to start to get it clean. So silly---keep it up all the time and it never gets to the point when you don't know where to begin. I keep up with mine and I used to hire someone x2/year to do a really crazy deep clean...but that was when I had wall to wall carpeting.

There is nothing in life that causes me more anxiety than a messy house (though there was a time period when I had babies/toddlers that things were pretty bad). It's stupid, but my weekly cleaning person provides such a sense of peace for me!
