Good Morning Teena and Menu Family!

OH ate my post so I'm starting over.

Congratulations Teena and also congratulations Janet (Librarian) on making goal!

QOTD: Most years I just put out a bowl of candy with a sign, "Please take two" on it because our dogs go crazy when people come to the door. But this year my daughter said she might sit outside and hand out the candy. Last year I was going to treat myself to ONE piece but when I went out there the bowl was empty! (Thank goodness). Usually we don't get very many trick-or-treaters so I don't know if we just had an unusually high number of them or if someone got greedy. We already bought our candy for this year, but Saralisa has hidden it in her room so it won't tempt me. (Thanks, honey!)

B: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt

L: hamburger patty with melted cheese, light & fit Greek yogurt

D: egg salad, light & fit Greek yogurt

S: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt, banana, Atkin's peanut butter cups

E: Walking Blossom around the subdivision

Have a WONDERFUL day everyone!

Good Morning! The weekend flew by...Saturday we ran a ton of errands (at Em's school they aren't allowed to dress up for Halloween but this week is red ribbon week so each day is a theme and this year they are doing decades starting with today being the 50's so we tried to get a little something to put together for each day) and then yesterday Em and I went to a luncheon benefiting breast cancer awareness.

QOTD: Em and one of her friends want to do a little trick-or-treating (dressed as Mario and Luigi) and then pass out candy at our house. I decided to take the day off from work (planning to pick up the girls earlier than I normally would so they can get ready) so I'm not dressing up.

Accountability: I made some not-so-great choices over the weekend (chips at a Mexican restaurant, a few granola bars, a few extra bites throughout the weekend) and I am needing to white knuckle through a few days to get the carb cravings under control.

Time since surgery: 3 years 2 months

B: SF latte, eggbeaters with roasted red pepper, ½ an orange and 2 turkey sausage links

L: Albacore lettuce wraps and baby carrots

S: Beef skewer, mixed nuts, pork rinds and a SF popsicle when I get home

D: Hot Italian chicken sausage and edamame

ES: Homemade Greek yogurt with canned pumpkin and pumpkin spice and ¼ cup fiber cereal

E: 1 hour stair-climber this morning and 40 mins of elliptical at lunch

V/W: On track

Totals: Cals:1141 Protein:117 Carbs:74 Fat:49

Have a great one!

Yes-pics for sure!

I am forbidden from sharing the 50's one today. She has a pretty yucky cold and her meds haven't kicked in so she is all "puffy". I told hubby he had to send me a pic though and when he did she immediately texted me"DO NOT post that pic anywhere".

Hi Everyone

I have decided I need to start doing this and maybe I can get some help and suggestions. I had gone up to about 800calories getting in around 80g of protein but the carbs were about 25g. I had my surgery 3 weeks ago and I am down 14lbs but I have been in a stall the past week and actually gained a pound back. I am going to knock back the carbs and try to go back to under 700calories. My center has that I can eat Melba toast and oatmeal at this stage and soft fruits and vegetables. I do weigh and measure everything. I do have hashimotos hypothyroidism and I am getting my thyroid checked. Has anyone else experienced a stall this early?

QOTD: we do not have kids but I am making some outfits for our bassets. We have decorated our house and most of the houses on our street are decorated. Last year we had about 150 kids so we have lots of candy that I keep telling my husband not to eat.

Accountability: I kind of explained above. I have been following the plan that the center gave me but I need to adjust a bit I think.

B: 1 scrambled egg with 1/4 cup of shredded cheese

L: 1/2 of tuna (water packed) and 1 tbsp of mayo

D: 4oz chicken, 1/4 of cooked red pepper, 1/4 cup of shredded cheese and 1tsp of epicure taco seasoning.

S: Babybel light, 1/2 cup of sliced peaches packed in water.

Cal: 683 calories, Carb: 19g, Fat: 47g, Protein 73g

Please feel free to provide constructive criticism/feedback on what I am eating. I would love some help to get out of this stall. I do walk at least 1km and some days I do 2 walks depending on my energy or pain levels (I had an empty lap band removed as well that was pretty encapsulated).

3 week stall is legendary- just do a search on here and you will see. :) Don't worry- the weight will come off. I think 700 calories might be better for only 3 weeks out but I don't know if the guidelines are different because of your medical condition. I think at 3 weeks out, I was under 600 calories a day.

Good luck and so glad to have you here.

I'm surprised you are able to eat what is on your menu at only 3 weeks out. No way I could have - I was still drinking protein shakes and eating only 1/4 cup of pureed food at this point. My calories were about 500-600.

I lost 15 pounds the first week, then nothing for the next 2. It was really tough, but you will get there.

I am now 4 weeks but just eased into it and made sure there was lots of chewing and everything was moist. The Hamilton Ontario center does not have a pureed food stage. From what I gather from those that had surgery around the same time, they are good with the food and portions.. just not having the stall

Mornin'~ Horrible traffic and dust bowl windy this morning. This makes me want to start going into work later when it's lighter so I can see better, ugh.

QOTD - We pass out candy, I love it. We have the house all decorated w/tons of orange and purple lights up. We leave the front door open and have a gate up for the dogs so they don't bark. The kids love seeing the dogs and we love seeing them! So far candy-wise, Rob has had plenty. While I would love to enjoy my usual favorites, I am not interested in having any sugar still. I am still of the camp 'I hope I dump, but just in case I don't - I don't want to know'. I know me and it would be a dangerous free for all, so no sugar for me.

Accountability - Good, stayed on plan - except the hot wings I had for lunch (out) had a light coating of flour/breading on them. I ate them anyway but didn't feel too good afterwards.
