Morning all! I'm back to work, but fortunately from home today and tomorrow, so I'll start things out.

The holiday reality check hit this morning on the scale, after too many BLTs, the scale is up and over 120 again. My goal weight is 125 but I've been staying below 120 for several months, so it's time to kick it in to tighter control. There have just been too many leftover bits and it's time to get them out of the house.

How is everyone doing with loss and maintenance this holiday season? Let's check in. Anyone interested in starting the year with another AMAW/CAMAW? Or some version of healthier eating accountability?

QOTD: I have quite a collection of favorite mugs and insulated glasses. In fact a couple of weeks ago, DW & I sorted through our collection and decided what to donate, what to pack away for safe keeping and what we really use. We ended up donating a large box of mugs & glasses but we still have quite a collection. Here's my Santa mug that I'm using this morning:

I like it but only for the FIRST cup because it isn't microwave safe...argh! Do you have a favorite mug or glass?

Menu:

B: ham, HB egg

S: Turkey breast

L: leftover pork loin, baby carrots

S: turkey breast, small apple

D: still some leftover ham, pork loin & turkey breast in the fridge to eat up...

Exercise: I'd like to do a 3+ mile run on the treadmill.

Good morning Janet! Thanks for getting us started! I love your snowman cup; I try to find cups with funny/witty/whatever sayings and I post them on twitter as coffeecuptruestories, lol. Today I'm drinking from my Caffeine Queen mug but my current favorite is one that says Filled with Rage; I got it when I subscribed to ***** Media last month! It's kind of small though and doesn't hold enough coffee.

I am with you on the holiday being over and discipline needing to be restored! I head into the office for the only day this week so I'm hoping that helps; I like being home for blocks of time but even with all the things I do at home, 3 days in a row is about my limit.

Accountability - I went back to my plan for yesterday and posted my actuals; it was not good. Although I loved the sweet potato mash, I decided this morning it had to go -- after I had it for lunch and dinner yesterday, I was hungry/munchy more than I usually am and I had SF candy that I didn't need. On a plan of 838/97/22, I came in at 1151/112/49 and didn't work out, choosing instead to do a 10 hour laptop day; no wonder my hips hurt when i wrapped up for the day!

Today's plan

B - 3 oz EverRoast Deli Chicken, 1 oz tillamook cheedar

L - cheese stick and light and fit greek

D - 3 oz turkey breast, 1 oz applewood cheddar

Coffee with half and half

736/79/13

E - did a dumbbell work out this morning and tonight I will do a stretching workout

V/W - on track

Have a terrific Tuesday all!

Your menu looks great and I hope that being out of the house today helps to get things back in line.

Good morning! Your hair looks like mine early in the day. I need to take a shower soon though as we have a funeral to attend today.

At least you are only 120. My goal weight is also 125, but I hovered between 115-118 until this summer. This morning I am 123.8 (arghh...).

QOTD: I do have a favorite mug at home and in Florida. Both have mermaids on them but are quite different. The one in Florida has the mermaid's tail as the handle. Here is the one up north (next to a mermaid statue):

2 Years 9 months post-op (maintaining below goal for 2 years, 1 month)

Always lots of coffee...

B: eggs, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon

L: Deli chicken if home, but may be at funeral

D: Chicken sausage I think

S: cottage cheese, maybe some nut thins and hummus

Liz, I love your mug! Very lovely!

Yeah, that scale can climb out of control very quickly if we aren'****chful. I don't regret having some small treats over the last few days, but I want to hit restart very promptly. I know what to do and i'm determined to do it.

And yes, the hair first thing in the morning is usually pretty crazy even though it is short. I don't have plans to be out of the house today except wearing a hat in the yard...otherwise, yes, a shower is as necessary as coffee!

PS How is Justice doing and is DH settling in after the holiday activities?

Yeah, I always have this hair up in the back in the morning I think because it is short? Justice is doing great even with the cold, though he was okay with wearing a sweater outside yesterday (LOL). DH is about the same as usual though possibly more cranky probably because of the schedule. He wants to go to the funeral today. Hopefully he will do okay with that. Thanks for asking!

Thanks for starting us off early! I have to get on here first thing or I get busy and it doesn't happen. It's raining here now so Lily and I will have to get our walk in later. Weather Underground says it should stop around noon. We will get one in though at some point and a short one around supper time. Accountability was good yesterday with no extra bites even with pumpkin, french silk and key lime pies and cheesecake in front of my face the whole day. There was so much knitting done though! Weight today was 126. I will make that 6 into a 5 soon--I really will. Numbers are such a head game. How is it that 6 extra pounds make me feel so huge? My clothes still fit and I'm working hard to get it off but I feel like such a failure right now. Enough whining! QOTD my favorite mug is a bright pink Contigo mug with a K on it. It's insulated and keeps my coffee good and hot. Heres the food for today B 1/2c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 2 slices turkey 1 slice cheese D 4 oz pork tenderloin from yesterday a few bites cauliflower broccoli mix S meat stick. Have a great day full of amazing choices my friends! I need to continue to work hard to get my fluids in as I struggle with that most days.
