Morning! Thanks for the good vibes. As I sort of suspected, the recruiter I spoke to was a little ahead of the company's timeline, and they haven't called yet. I assume it will probably come closer to the end of the week, which is fine with me! The more time I have to prep for Christmas classes, the better!

In fact, as soon as I finish tying this, I am going to warm up that oven and get going! I'm driving Grim to a mid-day appointment but other than that, I am just cranking out cookies by the hundreds! Did I tell you I have to bake over 1000 cookies for my upcoming classes? I don't even want to talk about how much icing. I bought 7 bags of 7lb powdered sugar at Costco yesterday and I don't think that's going to be nearly enough!

QOTD: What are you trying to get better at? Ok, mine is small and silly but I am so terrible at remembering to close cabinets. Apparently, Grim used to be my cabinet closing elf and he'd follow behind me and close them. Now that he is off his feet, I laugh every time I walk into the kitchen and see every cabinet wide open as I left them. I am trying to make myself notice and close them as soon as I open them, now. Who knew?

Accountability: I was on trac****il dinner. We ran a few hours worth of errands yesterday afternoon, and then decided to go out to dinner.

Today I will start with my protein coffee, but then I will probably just have leftovers from dinner all day.

Good mornin y'all.

Not a lot planned for the day that I know of. I need to call and reschedule an appointment. I meant to do it yesterday but totally forgot. I'm not feeling great and had a little bit of a bloody nose yesterday. I took some Sudafed so hopefully that'll help nip whatever in the butt. I'm going to have to get a tooth pulled soon but it will totally disrupt my partial. I don't really know what to do as I can't afford major dental work.

My blood sugar was normal this morning for the first time in over two months. I have however gained a couple of pounds since starting insulin which isn't uncommon. My bariatric surgeon sounded so disappointed in my situation yesterday. It sent me into a tailspin of sorts that ended in a crying spell. I just needed to let it out I guess. I have gained almost all the weight back I lost when I was sick. Once I stopped the Ozempic it just piled back on. I'm going to start trying to be more active. I'm going to hurt regardless so there really is no excuse.

QOTD: I'm bad at drawers getting closed all the way. What I really am trying to improve is mindless eating/snacking. Sometimes I just get bored and graze like a cow. It adds up.

B: eggs, turkey sausage, cheese and coffee x2

L: salad with chicken, feta cheese, and maybe a tbs of bacon crumbled

D: I'm thinking cod or I might make some soup.

from what I've read, gaining weight is pretty common after getting off of Ozempic (and similar drugs), so I wouldn't blame myself entirely. Although if you follow through with your goals of becoming more active and improving mindless eating/snacking, I'm sure that will help..

Why did the Doctor take you off the Ozempic? I thought you were taking it to control your Type2 diabetes?

It was but it also made me really sick. I got to where I couldn't even keep water down.

Did the doctor take you off or did you just stop it?

Good morning and happy Tuesday! QJB, you must be a master at Tetris-ing everything into your freezer!!

qotd - I've accomplished most of the things I wanted to work on in 23 so that's awesome. We're doing a steps challenge across our company so I am trying to get in 10,000 steps on top of my regular exercise (rowing doesn't generate steps!) so that's probably it. Yesterday I did the march around the hotel room for the final 2000 steps, lol. At least my 30 min on the hotel gym treadmill this morning counted as steps!

menu today

yogurt or eggs

protein bar

some Kind of chicken for dinner

have a terrific Tuesday!

Happy Tuesday everyone. We did some food shopping for Thanksgiving yesterday. Turkeys amaze mme. We got an almost 16 pound turkey that cost $10.50. That's a bit like having a time machine. Meanwhile, prime rib is still 20 bucks a pound at the supermarket.

QOTD: I can't think of a specific thing I'm trying to do better. In general I try to do better at everything I need, or want, to do.

I think I would have liked Barbara. Im 100% sure i would love Barbara's friends.
