What's on your Thursday Menu?
QOTD- I signed up a week before surgery, but I remember lurking for a while before I posted.
So far the rain has missed us, sorry CA I'm not sure why and it looks like it will be sunny for about 4 days after today. I need to make sure that I get to the nature park. Today I get my hair done at 3, so it won't be today. It will be too dark by the time I get there. But at least the days are getting longer approximately +1 minute a day.
I hate my scale, it was the same as yesterday but when I stepped on it a second time it went up 2 lbs then again another 1lb the 3rd time. Just take the first reading and call it good. I just keep hoping it will drop a few lbs but so far no. I have been so good and I feel like the scale should reward me, but it hasn't.
I'm not sure what happened, I used to workout 6 days a week and that was while I was working in person. I don't know how I fitted it all in back then. But I can't seem to get myself going. I haven't been to the gym since Covid, so I just need to do it.

wow - I've only been away for a couple of days and missed all the buzz! Congrats on the new job!! I'm so happy to hear that came through for you!
we're still working on my MIL's stuff. It feels like this work is never going to end, but I know it will. Tonight I'm driving around picking up sturdy boxes at a couple of houses (I asked for them on our neighborhood FB page) to pack a gazillion dishes in to give to a refugee organization. We'll be really busy over at her apartment most of the day tomorrow and all this weekend because I want to get as much done as I can -- this has gone on far too long already. My new wine group meets tomorrow night for the first time, so there's that, too. We're featuring South American reds, and I'll be making Brazilian cheese bread for it, but I have no idea when exactly I'm going to have time to make it. I'll work it in somehow.
QOTD: I learned about this group in my class binder (before surgery), so that would have been late 2014 or early 2015. I lurked for several months before posting, because I was afraid of getting smacked down by the vets! But I think I started by answering simple questions, like about the three-week stall. I lurked on this thread for awhile, too - and I think I first started posting due to a QOTD - or maybe it was one of the all-meat weeks - I can't remember. So anyway, nine years.
this is what I had today:
coffee with half & half
overnight oats topped with plain yogurt and berries
iced skinny vanilla latte (the best damn iced latte I've ever had - at some new place (met up with a friend))
plain yogurt with cranberry sauce, thin slice of Danish rye bread topped with whipped butter and lingonberry preserves
Lesser Evil popcorn
a small bag of peanuts
1/2 C fettuccine topped with 2 vegan meatballs and homemade marinara sauce
P.S. I ordered a Garmin watch to replace my Fitbit. It's supposed to arrive Saturday - I'm so excited!!
