Only on Obesity Help can one get applause and kudos for this kind of statement, so here I go !!!

I started my weight loss journey August 2010 -- took my HMO's (Kaiser) 3 month pre-op class and started a 1500 calorie diet.   I lost 34 pounds in the 5 months it took me to get to my surgery, in January.

My starting BMI was almost 53 ! I was extreemly morbidly obese.
On the day of surgery, my BMI was down to 49 !  I was morbidly obese.
Today, with the loss of another half pound, my BMI is 39, and I am obese.

I am proud to have dropped 'morbid' as a title.

Looking at my BMI isn't about vanity, or smaller sizes, or how I look, or saggy skin and bat wings; it is about HEALTH and living longer, and ......can you tell that I am thrilled, and that I love my sleeve !!

Congrats! I was so happy to get out of the morbidly obese category too! Now I've got my sights set on getting to "overweight."

You've lost 14 BMI points. That is incredible. Way to go!

Hurray on being Obese!  This place is crazy isn't it.  I called my parents when I got down to "overweight" and they thought it was a hoot that I was excited.  Keep up the GOOD work.
I am not big boned!  Bones don't jiggle!
