1 month out and still rocking it

I had my sleeve done a month a go today.  We (my sleeve and I) have had quite the journey so far.  She has a mind of her own most days but I am learning how she works and what my body needs to  meet my goals.

I lost 10 pounds pre-op and in the month since surgery I have lost 25 pounds for a total of 35 pound in just 6 weeks.  This is totally crazy.  I am able to swim longer, run (acutally run) and walking an average of 5 -6 miles a day.

We have had our fair share of stalls....dont get me wrong.  But I have had to learn that more energy requires more protein.  I am starting to eat small amounts of solids.  For example, for lunch today my hubby (yes, I got married last weekend and wore a size 14) and I went to this little mexican place and I got a soft shell taco and a side of beans.  When my food came I took my taco apart and mixed it with my beans (such a tasty mush) and ate about 1/4 cup.  My sleeve girgles and speaks to me when she is done eating.

I feel more confident and find myself smiling all the time...I love my sleeve.

BTW her name is Jo.

Woot woot - sounds like you and Jo are doing great!  Mine is Sleevezilla for now - but when she starts behaving a little more, she will go by the name of Lola - cause whatever Lola wants, Lola gets! (LOL)

Keep up the great work - congrats on the wedding, and keep rockin that sleeve!
