Second month weightloss not what I expected but it is a loss

So today marks my 2 month surgiversary date and to date I have lost 35.1 lbs. I really expected to be at a 40 lbs loss but I will take it it as it is a loss. It is 35.1 lbs less then 2 months ago. I was at a stall for close to 3 weeks and realized it was my body redistributing my fat. According to my friends I have lost inches. Today is a new day and I am taking this past month loss for what it is, a loss and know that I am in control of my sleeve and I can and will lost more this month. Thank goodness my kids are going back to school next Wednesday and I will have MY schedule back!
Thanks everyone for your support. I have been super stressed and not on the boards as much because I am studying for the General Contractor's exam. I hope to be back on more soon!
xoxo

You and me both! That's exactly what I lost at 2 months - and I still haven't lost an ounce. I put my scale away but then it haunted me.

I have an idea - we will sweat away 10 lbs in New Orleans :) Hope you are ready!!

Hope studying for the exam is going ok - hang in there!

Just sit back and digest this for a minute: when was the last time you lost 35.1 lbs in ANY time frame????? And had to work 4x as hard for it??????

Do yourself a favor and measure yourself now--all the usual places--when the next stall rolls around (and you will have one, sorry!) you'll be focused on the scale, but when you realize that your body is changing ALL over you will have that motivation again!

Keep up the good work and you'll probably find it easier to do your own thing without kids around.

Hi Gina!
Your progress is wonderful and remember your body is going to vary greatly from month to month on what you lose. And remember also with the lapband we were told that weight loss of 1-2 lbs. per week is normal. You are ahead of me by the way. I have lost 27 lbs. So, I think we are both doing great.

I can't believe we have so mu*****ommon! The general contractor's exam! I'm surprised. I am a designer /builder on the side of my teaching job although I have not built any more houses since the real estate market crashed in 2005. I love building and have designed and built about 6 nice custom homes. ...never had an ounce of trouble in selling any of them. After I saw the market turning down, I knew to stop. I'm a worrier and too conservative to risk too much plus I had a regular job so I waited. I miss it so much. Have you built houses before? Also, how is the market out there where you live?

Do you still ever feel tired and not yourself. I've really been struggling but am getting better slowly.  I think my problem is mostly being brought on by anxiety as a result of worrying about when I will be myself again. Plus, my ob/gyn found my estrogen low so I have started on hrt.

Let me know how you are,
Leigh
