Hi everyone I had my surgery on 08/29/2011, I went from 255 to 220 and I’ve stalled for the last two weeks!!!! I’ve started working out at the gym and in two more weeks I’ll start the cardio classes. I drink my protein and I’m thinking about going back on liquids to see if that will help.

I don’t know what to do, HELP!!!

wow!  I had my surgery on 8/29 too!  if you have lost 35 lbs then you are doing great!  I have lost 30.  I was stalled for about 10 days.  I contacted my Dr and he said that my body was adjusting.  I am sure you will bounce back!  Hang in there!

If you've read the boards for very long, then you know this is very normal.  Take a deep breath, keep doing what you are doing and this too shall pass.  You just lost 35 pounds in a short amount of time; your body needs a chance to catch up and figure things out.

Here's my standard answer to "pauses" that everyone calls a stall:

A stall is something that last 6 weeks or more.  You are in a correction period.

Weight loss is like a teeter-totter....

On one side is pounds, the other inches....

If you stop going down on pounds, the inches will go down .  Are you measuring?
Then the inches will slow and pounds will drop...

this is normal and NOT a stall, it's a correction period that your body uses to catch up.....

I agree I think it is your body adjusting.  The surgery is a big shock and to have that much weight gone that fast your body is like whoa what is happening..lol

I was posting the same thing you are a few weeks ago and I just started back loosing.  for me the weightloss is slower but as long as I see a difference I am good.

Don't worry it will be ok.

On my way!!

well I am 12 almost 13 days post op, hmmm my scale stayed the same yesterday and today. I hope I am not in a stall already, how depressing lol. I know they can happen and know to keep on my diet plan and it will change. I guess I will check again tomorrow and see if I am still at the 15 lbs weight loss since surgery then I am going to assume I hit the stall

Weighing yourself everyday may just drive you crazy. I suggest weighing at least once a week, unless you can handle the daily weigh ins.

I can handle the daily weigh ins for now, I hope it is just the introduction of the protein drinks back into my system. I couldn't get my little guy out for a walk today so will wait and see tomorrow. The heat was getting to me the last two days while walking. So I much switch that up to first thing in the morning, or last thing at night when my little guy is sleeping. That way I can move at a better pace and concentrate on myself.
