Getting back on the excercise wagon after falling off!

A story for those of you who like to fall off the excercise wagon, like I do...

At the end of September, I caught a nasty cold.  During the subsequentn 2.5 weeks, I stopped running, only went to the gym once, and went for walks on maybe3 out of every 7 days.  I was a slacker!

I've gone through periods like this before, prior to surgery, and I did NOT want to end up the same way (once I quit running a few weeks, I tend to not pick it up again for months/years).

So, I decided to take a new approach to getting back to running.... Instead of forcing myself to run the distance I last ran (just over 5K), I started back on my couch to 5K app.  I figure I'll do one workout from each week of the program, to get back on track.  I started doing this yesterday, and it worked out GREAT!!!  It was a GREAT run!!!  I am looking forward to running again tomorrow.   Following this program, within 3 weeks, I'll gradually work my way up to 5K again, with no dread...  Yay!!!
