I update my youtube and lowcarbfriends fairly often, but I have been slacking here on OH.  Anyway I am over 20 months out from VSG, 5 months post round 1 reconstructive surgery, and going in for Round 2 in less than a week!

I made my updated photos public so if anyone wants to check out my progress, you can look at my profile :)

From 355 highest, 280-something pre-op, 169 lowest so far.  I've lost more than I currently weigh!

My original "pie in the sky" goal was 185.  I never thought I'd atually get below 200.  My lowest "adult" weight was 195 when I was 17 years old, then 205 when I was 19... for about a minute each!  I was typically around 275 most of my adult life.

Now I am aiming for "normal"... 155!  My surgeon said because of the extra bone density, muscle and skin, 165 would be ok for me... but since i am having the skin removed, I figure the high end of normal actually works for me... I don't want to be "skinny"... I love my feminine figure.  I think I'll be happy with 155 +/- 5.  :)

HOLY COW!!! You look AMAZING!! What a transformation! I caught my breath when I saw your ticker because according to the BMI scale, I am 185 lbs. (from my consult date) overweight and the thought of losing 185 lbs is mind-boggling to me, but YOU DID IT!!

Congratulations on all your hard work!! Great job!

I totally didn't think it would happen, especially since people kept reminding me that VSG is "restrictive only"... well guess what, it's NOT... it's restrictive AND hormonal... I wasn't hungry at ALL for the first several months.

I know you read my post, but to reitterate, because you CAN do it!!!!...

I have had metabolic and hormonal problems all my life... I thank God for the VSG because it really is the tool I NEEDED.
