Woohoo!!!!  I met my second goal 2 days ago.  My starting weight was 341.6 and my date of surgery was 11/17/11 (wt. on dos was 325.2).  So I set my first goal at being under 300.  I met that on 12/21.  Then I kind of went into a small stall and moved from 299.8 - 300.4 for about a week.  Then on 12/28 I hit 299.4 and started going down from there.  My second goal that I set for myself was to reach 275.  I weighed 275.6 on 3/15 and for the last 2 mornings I have weighed in at 274.4.  Yayyyyyyyy me!!!!

My next goal is 250.  I would really love to be there by the end of May (sooner would be even better)!!  Wish me luck!!!

OAN:  I am so proud of myself today.  I am still embarrased about my body image so it makes it hard for me to go to the gym or to go outside and walk.  I don't want people looking at me right now.  So, I have been doing laps in my house every since having surgery.  My husband has been trying to get me to go outside with him and walk for the last few days since we have been having this 70 degree weather.  Well, this morning I gave in.  I had spotted this somewhat hidden trail that goes around a pond near an elementary school where we live.  It is usually not as busy as some of the other trails that we have nearby, so I had already made up in my mind that when I decided to go outside and walk that I would probably go there.  Normally I can walk a good 30-40 minutes in my house without feeling like I can't take another step.  Evidently it's a little different walking outside.  I managed to make one lap around this trail.  It took 20 minutes and I was whipped!!!  I am just proud of myself for finally doing it.  I even told my husband that I might like to come back this evening for another lap (or two)!!  I had my fitbit on and it measured right around 1 mile.

I'm making small steps but I am making them!!!

You are doing great! Let those goals keep coming.

That shorter walk shocked your body and you probably burned more calories than 30 minutes of walking around your house.  Keep walking with your husband. It is great that he is so supportive. It will probably make your weight loss pick up some.

Yes others see you, but they are thinking about you less than you realize. And the thoughts could be very positive. It's not like you are going through a buffet or at the grocery checkout with a cart full of fattening food. You are exercising! You are actively improving your health and fitness!  And that's what you should think when you are walking outside. If you focus on positive thoughts, you won't assume others are thinking negative ones.

When I'm at the gym, it is all about me. I think, "wow, I am so much better than I used to be at this; I am doing the damn thing!"  Honey, when I am at the gym, I am super duper fly with a cherry on top.  Revel in your accomplishments.

Enjoy the ride down. It's great!
