My Favorite NSV - Fewer Medications
Well, just got back from my first appt with my PCP since surgery and am pleased and he took me off of even more medicine. YAY !! He dropped my blood pressure medicine (my pressure has been very low since surgery-not sure why?) and said it was okay to stay off cholesterol medication (they took me off in hospital and then said to check up with him before permanently d/c it)
So add that to the insulin and Metformin the Diabetes Team from the hospital took me off of . . .
This is actually more important to me than any number on the scale . . . of course, I am still weighing once a week

YAY!
That was my favorite thing about this surgery too. I was taken off Metformin while still in the hospital post-op. I was taken off the thyroid med and the cholesterol med at 1 month post op.
I recently had to go back on the cholesterol med, but my PCP thinks that it is temporary because my total was 218 (down from the 240's) without the med and the ratio was 3:1. He wants it under 200 so I am back on it for now.
Don't you love getting healthy?
