One NSV and one Not NSV
So, I needed some new pants. I went to Value Village (a.k.a. SaveOn/thrift store). I tried on sizes 14 and 16 because I wasn't sure what I could fit into and women's clothes are ridiculous. I fit into one brand in a size 14 and one in a size 16. This is down from 18W or 20W.
When I got home I washed my new pants. The size 14s fit wonderfully (yeah!). I tried the 16s on and couldn't get them to button around my waist. What? I know jeans shrink in the dryer but not even being able to get them on was weird. The dumb directions said tumble try medium and I put them on low (and washed in cold water) so what's up? I figure eventually I'll be able to fit into my small 16s but at least for now I'm fitting in the 14s.

Lol! That just proves how lame clothing companies are! Material is very fickle too! That's probably the difference, one brand uses a different type than the other. I know it sucks - I have been there!! (still there :)
But at least you know it's rediculous and you can say you got into a size 14

ooo I discovered that at wal-mart buying leggings. One brand im in a medium very comfortably, a little baggy and not super clingy, the other brand right next to that one I could barely get the LARGE on. We're talking "bend over and the pants roll down over my booty (mucho embarrassing I must say) you can guess which ones went back lol.

I'm with Moonglo - I have a pair of Old Navy shorts in a size 20 that are too big (have to wear a belt to keep them where they need to stay!) and a pair of Old Navy jeans in a 22 that won't button or zip. Go figure! It's horrible for me because I'm a big eBayer and I HATE to try clothes on in stores; that has changed now, for sure!
