Two week countdown starts tomorrow!

I start my two-week pre-op diet tomorrow -- Halloween.  How appropriate!  From reading the boards, it looks like I am one of the "lucky" ones.  My surgeon only requires a low-carb diet for the next 12 days, then clear liquids for two days before surgery.

My pre-op seminar with the nurse was scheduled for tonight, but it was canceled (Hurricane Sandy).  So, I've been re-reading all of the my stuff and getting alternately psyched up and calmed down!  Luckily, I have all of the printed pre-op diet and preparation info already.  My pre-admission workup is tomorrow, and so begins the countdown!

Good luck!!! I am on my 7th day of preop diet. Surgery date is 11/7.  Whoohoo!!!

Good luck..i start my 2 week liquid diet on 11/1 and have surgery on 11/15.  I am getting a little scarred of only drinking 8oz of liquids for a meal.

Congrats!  I'm lucky.  My surgeon only requires 3 day liquid diet preopp.  I start mine Friday.  My surgery date is 11/5.  I'm still excited.  Waiting on the scared phase to kick in.  Went last night and stocked up on broth, sf jello and sf popsicles.

My 2 week diet started Monday. 2 weeks from yesterday before I am sleeved. Good luck!
