All packed and ready to go for a nooner that I won't forget!
Well, as nooners go, this will be a doozie! I've packed and paced and tried to relax. I have to be there at noon for my 2 pm surgery, but of course, I was up at the crack of dawn and couldn't go back to sleep.
I've got my Biotene, my Gas-X, my pillow for the ride home (LOL-- that way I don't have to worry about DH forgetting it when he comes to pick me up), my toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, and a book -- a trashy Nora Roberts one about the Boonesboro Inn -- I call them potato chips for the mind!
I am dropping my car off for service at 10:30, since I won't be needing it for awhile (plus it gave me something to do this AM), then off to the hospital!
I could really use a glass of water about now! The no drinking after midnight is fine for those early AM surgeries, but not so much for the afternoon ones!
Keep my seat warm -- I'll report back in on Friday after I get home!
Good luck. I had 24 hrs no fluids on second day started clear liquids . best suggestion is to walk walk walk to help move that gas. The pillow for ride home is great. take pain meds while in hospital it will help to be able to walk with little disconfort. Im sipping every thing ok so far water is what i drink most of. flavored drinks in small doses seem ok. Im counting to the day i can start my soft foods. Before you know it it will be over and you will be home. Keep us updated on your progress.
