I was wondering if anyone else has experienced feelings of hunger or emptiness where your stomach once sat stretched after eating a meal.  Now, I only have my sleeve but that other space feels empty/hungry.  I know it's not true hunger but just missing that feeling of stuffing myself.  Anyone else??

I'm just missing the feeling of taste!!!  I didn't ever like the bloated feeling but I do like food.  It's weird after being on the liquid diet 4 weeks 2 weeks preop and 2 weeks post op and starting the purees you don't know how good the ricotta cheese tasted!   LOL!!

I think I know what you mean. You don't really feel satiated, right? I don't either, and it's an odd feeling to eat by measurements and not by feeling like the hunger is gone. I believe our stomachs do start feeling hunger and satiation once we're further out.

Even then, from everything I've read on this forum, it's a good idea to keep measuring and eating only what is allowed, and never to go by feeling full, as that fullnes****s a few minutes after you've finished eating.

I agree because once I've had too much it hurts like crazy.

Remember the nerves in your stomach were cut so aren't functioning normally yet while they are healing. So you aren't getting a full sense of feeling.

I am completely there with you!!! It's like the hunger grumble (even when you are eating) that doesn't go away. But it doesn't ever go away....it doesn't hurt, but it does feel empty/hungry. Right there with ya!!
