I've been waiting since 1986 to see this....

I'm in ONDERLAND today.  Been dreaming, wishing, fantasizing about seeing that magic "1something"  for forever- Have thought when and if it ever happened I would kiss the scales, or my face in the mirror, or  faint, or something like that.  I didn't do any of those things.  What I did is what I have been doing since July.  Put on my shoes and hit the treadmill.  It was when I was walking that I began to cry because I knew then why I had chosen the avatar I did.  That picture is the 5 year old me.  She deserves better than how I had treated her all these years.  Better care, attention, nutrition, love, discipline, protection, nurturing...just better everything.  I am now and am going to continue to be a better parent to her.  ONDERLAND  was my gift to her/me today.  Hard fought--long sought.  Grateful today and full of hope for tomorrow.

Congratulations!!!   I love the idea of taking care of our "inner child".   I'm going to dig up some old photos and put them around for motivation!

It's time for all of us to mourn completely and finally the little girls in us that were treated so badly that we reached for the only thing that we thought would love us. They will be ok because they will finally understand that true love comes from within.
